This is a bridge for journalists, editors and all involved in telling stories or simply working across borders. It’s about the links that bind us, about the work we do that builds our communities, and about how we rise up to the challenges we face.
It began with journalists from Pakistan and India who chose to connect, to share stories, to share ideas and sources. It began a bridge between the two countries, between journalists, between peoples. Please share this cup of chai with us.
The journalists came together as a result of the work of the East-West Center of Honolulu. As a result of extensive work reaching out to journalists in both countries, a large group of journalists came together to work on cross border journalism. Some of these journalists have traveled to their neighboring country, and some have worked in collaboration on stories from their own countries.
